Revamped Bob the Builder Sparks Bidding Frenzy
Entertainment Giants fight for JLo's "Bob the Builder"
There's a budding excitement around a beloved childhood character making a big-screen comeback, specifically, Bob the Builder.
There's a stirring excitement around Bob the Builder making a big-screen comeback. This project is led by Jennifer Lopez and supported by ShadowMachine. It has sparked a heated bidding war among Netflix, Amazon MGM Studios, and DreamWorks Animation. It's not just any bidding war—these studios recognize this animated feature's immense potential, especially for the Latino and Hispanic community.
Bob the Builder has been a beloved figure in children's entertainment for over two decades, promoting teamwork, positivity, and problem-solving among young viewers, with his infamous catchphrase, "Can we fix it? Yes, we can!" Bob’s new story takes place in colorful Puerto Rico with themes of community and perseverance. Felipe Vargas adapted the script. We have ShadowMachine, Nuyorican, and Mattel as producers. Anthony Ramos is said to be our Bob, now renamed as Roberto, with the updated catchphrase "Si se puede" (Yes we can).

The transition from small screen to big screen is no small feat, but with the backing of powerhouse studios and the vision of passionate creatives, Bob's new adventure promises to be an unforgettable cinematic experience. As the bidding frenzy reaches its peak, all eyes are on who will secure the rights to bring Roberto's journey to global audiences.
